UK COURSE DATES 2018If you've always wanted to learn to draw, Dr. Betty Edwards' Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain® 5-day intensive course is a proven technique for teaching drawing - particularly to those people who swear they could never be taught to draw! This course is taught in the UK by Anna Black, certified and licensed by Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain® Inc.Anna teaches in the UK in central London (Little Venice), non-residential, and North Wales, near Bangor, (residential).
CENTRAL LONDONAmadeus Centre, 50 Shirland Road, Little Venice, London W9 2JA (Nearest tube: Warwick Avenue (Bakerloo line)) WHEN? early bird discount for bookings paid in full by 17th December 2017 HOW MUCH? £525 including all drawing and learning materials in the Portfolio £50 discount (£475) for early bird bookings, see expiry dates for individual courses.
NORTH WALESTrigonos, Nantlle, North Wales (nearest train station is Bangor) WHEN? Saturday 21st July to Thursday 26th July 2018 This course is residential although non-residential options are available. HOW MUCH? £525 plus accommodation and full board £50 discount (£475) for early bird bookings paid in full by 28th February 2018. The Course Fee does not include accommodation or full board. There is an additional cost for this which varies depending on the room. (£465 for 5 nights full board for single ensuite to £440 for 5 nights full board twin ensuite. Some rooms with shared facilities at a lower price may be available. Note this course is filling up fast and there are limited places left.

But as anyone who's read the book will know, this course is about so much more than learning to draw. It's about learning to really see, and the curiosity that evokes. And it's about learning to dance between left-brain and right-brain modes. And yet more than all that, what I really loved about the course was the gateway it opens up the other possibilities. Having been an artistic no-hoper all my life, within three days I felt very comfortable calling myself an artist because the evidence was right there in front of me in my drawings. And if that's possible, what else is? In just a few weeks since the course I've taught myself how to play tennis left-handed, picked up lots of Spanish from
scratch, and I'm successfully teaching myself how to swim for a kilometre at a time. All of it has been fun and effortless, which was exactly how I experienced the course with Anna. That really helped me to see how thoroughly and unnecessarily most of us block learning new skills.
